Reports by Reuters and ABC News state that the plane crashed near Grand Bahama International Airport and burst into flames, killing all passengers on board.
Among those killed were Dr Munroe of Bahamas Faith Ministries and his wife, Ruth.
A post on the Facebook page of an organisation led by renowned civil rights activist Andrew Young confirmed the preacher’s death.
“Ambassador Young expresses his deep sadness over the tragic death of his friends Dr Myles and Mrs Ruth Munroe. He offers condolences to the Monroe family and the families of the other souls who lost their lives as a result of this shocking plane crash,” the post read.
Dr Munroe is a well-known author and motivational speaker who visited various African countries.
