7 Most Expensive Celebrity Divorces

Love hurts and in Hollywood it can really cost you a pretty penny. We're counting the seven most expensive celebrity divorces of all time!

Number 7: Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills split in 2008 after six years of marriage. She walked away with a reported $48.6 million, which was much lower than the $250 million she tried to get.

Back in 1986 Paul spoke to ET about marriage when he was still married to first wife Linda Eastman. He said, "Getting married is quite a weird situation I think because for the first time in your life you're living very very intimately with someone that you don't necessarily know."

In 2007, while Madonna was still married to Guy Ritchie she told ET, "The real challenge for us is balancing our careers and our work and family life and you know, trying to make it all work." And the challenge obviously became too much for the singer because she ranks number six on our list. The couple announced their divorce in 2008, eight years after tying the knot. The director got between $76 million and $92 million from the material girl.

Steven Spielberg's divorce shocker is number five on our list. His split from actress Amy Irving in 1989 cost him $100 million – despite having a prenup! The director jotted it down on a napkin but the judge dismissed it!

Tiger Woods and his cheating ways put him fourth on our list. The golf champ had to shell out an estimated $100 million to ex Elin Nordegren after she caught wind of his wandering eye.

Michael Jordan and his ex-wife Juanita didn't have a prenup and that's why they take our number three spot. The pair were married for 17 years and filed for divorce in 2006. Juanita received a reported $168 million.
