As renewed tension continues to mount in Abia state, a new commissioner of police, Anthony Ogbizi has taken over the state police command.
Speaking shortly after taking over the mantle of leadership, the new commissioner, Ogbizi warned the people of the state to desist from any action capable of causing breakdown of law and other, saying that security is everybody's business
He decried the burning of the Ariaria police station, aba by unknown group of persons
The former police commissioner, Leye Oyebade said he came with the template to fight heinous crimes noting that there cannot be a republic within a republic.
Some banks and shops in Umuahia, the state capital were closed on Thursday as tension continues to mount in the state.
