Today We remember Jagwa, a vintage comedian who was a Super celebrity of the 80s and 90s.
Jagua (pronounced; Jagwa) was a super popular comic actor of the 80s and 90s. He had a popular comedy series running. He is rightly one of the founding fathers of comedy in Nigeria/Africa.
He met his wife as a student and together they formed the Jagua group. With time their comedy became popular and at the time showed on every single NTA station available back then.
In the early days of Nollywood, Jagua joined the trend of producing movies in home video VHS formats. They produced a few in the early 90s before Jagua died in year 2000 at Lagos over a protacted illness.
